The decontamination pilot project that was performed by JAEA was introduced and the results were briefed. Particular importance in applying the results to the upcoming regional decontamination is (1) precise and systematic monitoring as a part of the site characterization for decontamination planning, (2) maintenance for safety of temporary storage of wastes, and (3) radiation exposure control for decontamination workers.
